As a member of the design community for more than five years now, I am always learning how to better look for and incorporate ideas into my work. I am constantly looking at TV, print, and web designs to see how others have chosen to represent the entity I am now viewing. It is in these moments where the creative process becomes tangible and full of possibility.
This article details the most important things you should expect from a graphic design consultant or firm, hopefully helping you make the best decision for your company and receive a great design experience.
A STRONG PORTFOLIO
Previous projects speak volumes about what you can expect and the type of quality you will receive from the consultant/firm. We have broken our portfolio down into the following categories:
- branding
- graphics
- web
When browsing different online portfolios, look for diversity, both in client industry and project outcome. You want to ensure you don’t receive a ‘cookie-cutter’ design or generic ‘template’ design.
